Read the drawdown.
Every result below is a 100% real-tick MetaTrader 5 backtest on a live broker feed, with the exact deposit and lot size stated. Maximum drawdown is shown as prominently as return, because it is the number that decides how much capital a system actually needs.
Gold Basket Systems
CharleSMA Pro
v1.83Multi-layer gold grid · XAUUSD · M5–M15
Our most complete grid engine. It stacks a moving-average entry model on a distance-based averaging grid, then banks the whole basket on a dollar trail rather than a fixed target — so a strong move is allowed to keep paying. A depth stop closes the basket at a preset layer instead of letting it run indefinitely.

CharleSTC Lite
v1.22Stochastic rebound grid · XAUUSD · M3–M15
Enters when the stochastic turns up out of an oversold zone, and — critically — only adds to a losing basket when the indicator returns to that zone again. That selectivity is the engine: switching it off for blind price-based averaging halved one year’s return and blew the account in the other.

Drawdown is structural. We exhaustively tested tighter stops, smaller multipliers and session filters — every one of them cut the return to near zero. A 45–57% drawdown is the price of this return profile, not a tuning oversight.

v1.02Trend ladder, two-sided · XAUUSD · M5
A trend-following ladder: every dollar the price advances in your favour adds one more position, and the combined buy+sell float is banked as a whole. Reverse-engineered from 3,652 real fills of a public signal account and verified blind against two further accounts it had never seen.

CharleSTC Divergence
v1.72Low-frequency divergence · XAUUSD · M5–M30
The conservative member of the family. It waits for a divergence between price and the stochastic before opening, which cuts trade count dramatically and keeps the grid shallow — typically three to five layers deep, with drawdowns measured in hundreds rather than thousands.

Let’s Algo Trade Zenith
v0.5N-bar breakout, single position · XAUUSD · M12–M15
Breaks out of an N-bar range with a hard stop and a wide take-profit, reversing on the opposite break. One position at a time — no averaging, no basket. The proprietary Galaxy channel is embedded as a gate, an arrow signal and a mid-line exit.

- Hard SL every trade
Every trade carries a hard stop, which is why the drawdown stays at 17.5% on a 500%+ return. Survived 2025 but with 52–78% drawdown — treat the headline figure as regime-dependent. A 0.10-lot all-weather configuration returns 203% at 11.5% drawdown.

Let’s Algo Trade Compass
v1.0Multi-timeframe trend follower · XAUUSD · M3
A higher timeframe sets the bias, a lower one times the entry: above the M30 200-EMA it only buys, below it only sells, and it enters on an M3 channel breakout with a fixed 3:1 reward-to-risk. One position, real stop, real target — the most conventional risk profile in the range.

Let’s Algo Trade Double Galaxy
v0.41Dual-channel fade + stochastic gate · XAUUSD · M15
Two Galaxy channels on different timeframes; when price closes outside both bands the system fades the move, gated by a stochastic extreme and a higher-timeframe MACD direction filter. Highest profit factor in the range, and strongest in the ranging year that hurts the trend systems.

Low trade count, high win quality. Entry signals are confirmed on bar close — the per-tick version of the same signal lost money on real ticks, which is why this build only fires on a closed bar.

Let’s Algo Trade Magnet
v0.3EMA fade basket + RSI gate · XAUUSD · M3–M15
When price stretches a set multiple of ATR away from a long EMA, the system fades it and scales in at fixed ATR intervals — flat lot size, not martingale, which testing showed to be actively harmful here. Each basket carries both a dollar target and a hard dollar stop for spike protection.

Choose the timeframe by market view. M5 is the strongest harvester in a ranging year (+194% at 0.01) but lost the account in the trending year. M15 is the all-weather setting: +22.7% in 2026 and only −8.7% in 2025 — the closest thing to a regime-agnostic configuration we have.

The same notes we give our own team when they quote these numbers.
- Grid systems have no stop loss by design.CharleSMA, CharleSTC, CharleS10 and Double Galaxy hold losing positions and average into them. That is how they produce their returns, and it is also how an account can be lost. Every one of them ships with a drawdown breaker — recommend it, and set it.
- Quote the drawdown with the return, every time.A 625% figure alongside a 45% drawdown is a credible sales conversation. The return alone is not, and the customer will discover the difference on their own account.
- Minimum deposit is a hard number, not a suggestion. These systems use a fixed base lot, so the dollar drawdown does not shrink with a smaller account — it just becomes a larger share of it. Below the stated minimum, the recovery path that makes the strategy work is cut off by a margin call.
- Some configurations are regime bets, and we label them.Zenith’s 506% and Magnet’s M5 setting were both measured in a favourable year; the same builds struggled or lost in the other year. Where a system is positive in both years we say so — that is the claim worth selling.
- Past backtest results do not predict future returns.Every figure on this page is a historical simulation on one broker’s data. Live spreads, slippage and execution will differ.
